Board of Trustees Treasurer Role Description

 

  1. Role:

 

The Treasurer serves as the financial officer of CLS Delaware and is a member of the Executive Committee.

 

  1. Responsibilities/Specific Duties:

 

  1. The Treasurer is responsible for doing or causing to be done all the financial tasks associated with the operation of the church.

 

  1. The Treasurer will keep and maintain, or cause to be kept and maintained, adequate and correct accounts of the financial status of this church in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

 

  1. The Treasurer will prepare and distribute or cause to be prepared and distributed monthly financial statements/reports of CSL DE.

 

  1. The Treasurer will also prepare or cause to be prepared other financial statements as may be requested by the Minister and/or Board of Trustees from time to time.

 

  1. The Treasurer will be knowledgeable of the monthly as well as the annual financial statements so as to present clear and concise reports to the Board of Trustees at its monthly meetings and to the congregation at the annual membership meeting.

 

  1. The Treasurer shall be involved in developing the annual budget.

 

  1. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

The Treasurer must have:

  1. a “prosperity consciousness.”
  2. Working knowledge of financial matters
